Year of Snake is coming. Canberra Chinese is to organize a celebration dinner party in the Great Hall of Australian Parliament House on 10th February 2025.
Year of Snake means wisdom, energies, and prosperity. Canberra Chinese community is to mark this special occasion wishing everyone a happy New Year, being more healthy, agile, and having a good fortune.
This event is to be organized by Federation of Chinese Association of ACT (FCA-ACT) along with Canberra Red Wine Association.
The event will feature traditional Chinese culture performance.
The Parliament House is an iconic building. The event is to further promote multiculturalism, culture diversity and social harmony. The event almost coincides with Australia Day, reminds people that we are one and we are many. Chinese Australian is part of the Australian successful story. The event is to start at 6pm. The performers will include artists from Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra locals. There are also artists come from China. The traditional Chinese culture arts like calligraphy, Chinese painting, paper cutting, etc. will be demonstrated in the venue.
All the participants also will be able to enjoy the best cuisines and wines in the country.
蛇年即将来临！堪培拉华人将于2025年2月10日在澳大利亚议会大厦大礼堂举办庆祝晚宴。
蛇年象征着智慧、活力和繁荣，堪培拉华人社区将借此特殊时刻，向大家送上新年的祝福，祝愿每个人身体健康、敏捷灵活、财运亨通。
本次活动由澳大利亚首都领地华人联合会（FCA-ACT）与堪培拉红酒协会联合举办，晚宴将呈现精彩的中国传统文化表演。
澳大利亚议会大厦是国家标志性建筑，此次活动不仅是庆祝新年，更旨在进一步弘扬多元文化、文化多样性和社会和谐。活动与澳大利亚国庆日时间接近，提醒大家——我们同属一个国家，亦来自不同背景。华裔澳大利亚人是澳大利亚成功故事的一部分。
晚宴将于晚上6点正式开始，表演嘉宾包括来自悉尼、墨尔本和堪培拉的艺术家，还有来自中国的特邀艺术家。现场还将展示中国传统文化艺术，如书法、中国画、剪纸等，让参与者近距离感受中华文化的魅力。
此外，所有与会者还将享受到全国最顶级的美食与美酒，共度一个难忘的新春之夜！
