Training 2004– National Foster Care Conference 29–31 October 2004, Rydges Lakeside Hotel, Canberra. Walking Together: People, Policy and Practice Those interested in presenting a workshop or concurrent session at the 2004 National Foster Care Conference are invited to supply a 200 word synopsis of the topic and method of presentation, together with brief information about themselves and any co-presenters, to the Conference Organising Committee by cob 31 December 2003, late applications may be accepted on request until 31 January 2004. The aim of the conference is to energise as well as inform in an enjoyable atmosphere. Pro-active discussion and sharing of ideas is encouraged in sessions. The focus should be on positive outcomes and sessions should be relevant to carers and/or workers. Papers will be grouped under four sub-themes:
The scope of each area is quite broad and some suggestions for relevant content appear on the application form. If you have something you feel is really worth sharing which doesn’t neatly fit the box – please tell us anyway – our aim is to present items of most benefit to our delegates.
